Our life!

So ----> I'm not so sure how to begin this blog.  My long-life friend Becca writes a blog and I hope that I can be as half as creative as she is in mine.  I don't want to annoy people by posting comments about my life on Facebook every single day, so I figured this would be a good way for my family & friends to keep up with our busy-ness!

This past weekend Michael and I went to Vegas (my first time!) for a grudge race.  T1 v. NRG CMR.  I was stoked to get a chance to be in Sin City!  We had a really good time, but the race car broke after a couple of awesome passes.  I have decided that I am bad luck and should never attend another race.  Every single time I have gone to a race in the last [year] something has happened to the car!  Other than the bad luck at the track, we had a GREAT time while we were there!  I couldn't believe how big everything was...I mean, it was larger than life!  We rode in a Ford Dually limo from Planet Hollywood to Rain at The Palms with about 30-fellow racers/racer wives.  It was SO fun!!  How else to bring Texas to Vegas than a truck limo?! [Thanks Tony!]

Michael ate fresh, real, sushi and LOVED it.  I'm stoked that I'll have an official sushi-gettin' buddy now.
We sure were exhausted-- and after the most terrifying 2-hour flight in my entire life, I landed safely back in Dallas.

Kambry hung out with her Unc (aka Brandon), Lily, Ninnie, Gimme, Dude, and Roo over the weekend while we were gone.  She had black fingernails with pink polka dots when I got home!  She was waiting patiently in the front seat of Gimme's car with the window rolled down.  As soon as she saw me she screamed, "Mommy! Mommy! That's my Mommy!!!"  It was so sweet - and the PERFECT little munchkin to come home to!

Kambry got her first ever report card this week from school!  The grades were either "M" - Mastered, "W" Working On, or "A" Attempted.  She got an "M" on everthing EXCEPT:  Waiting Patiently, Following Teacher Directions, and Putting Together Small Puzzles.... Kambry?  Not waiting patiently?  NOOO WAY! The good thing was, I got to actually see what the expectation of intelligence was for a 2 year old in daycare.  Needless to say I was a pretty proud Mama!  One of the goals was to speak in 2-3 word sentences.  I think she's got that one down, pat!  Early today [while holding her "pinwheel"] she said to Michael, "I broke my pinwheel earlier...last week!"  I don't know why that was so weird to hear her say, but it just boggled my mind that she understands the concept of the fact that there was a week BEFORE this one. haha!

I'm walking in the Relay For Life this weekend in Corsicana aka "The Can" - so stay tuned next week and I'll tell ya all about it (if I live to tell you about it!)
